PALANGKA RAYA, INFOTERBARU.WEB.ID — Natasya (19), the vocalist of the musical group R.A.S.Y.A., has taken legal action after experiencing what she described as alleged non-physical sexual harassment while performing at a charity music event for forest and land fire relief in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan.
The incident took place on Sunday night, September 20, 2026. While Natasya and R.A.S.Y.A. were performing, a man identified as one of the event's performers approached the stage area carrying women's underwear. The item was then placed on the lyric stand near Natasya. The incident was captured on video and circulated on social media.
Natasya admitted she was shocked when the incident occurred. Although she felt uncomfortable with the action, she chose to continue her performance until it finished. This decision was made to prevent the situation at the venue from escalating further while respecting the event held to help communities affected by the forest fires.
After stepping off the stage, Natasya expressed her emotions. She cried in the band members' gathering area after trying to hold back her feelings during the performance. In her statement, Natasya said she tried to control her emotions so the incident would not develop into a larger issue.
Reported to Central Kalimantan Police
Natasya, accompanied by her legal counsel, Jeffriko Seran, subsequently visited the Central Kalimantan Police on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. The incident was reported as alleged non-physical sexual harassment referencing Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning Sexual Violence Crimes, also known as the TPKS Law.
According to Jeffriko, the action committed by the reported party was not limited to placing underwear on the lyric stand. He also stated that there were verbal insults and mockery that caused the atmosphere around the stage to be accompanied by jeers and laughter from some audience members.
Natasya's side considered that the incident made the vocalist feel publicly humiliated. While the legal process is ongoing, Natasya also stated that she has chosen to temporarily reduce her activities in the entertainment stage.
Reported Party Issues an Apology
Amidst the legal process, the Headquarterpunk band management issued an apology via their Instagram account. In their statement, the band acknowledged the action as a mistake and stated they did not wish to seek justification for the events that took place.
They also apologized to fellow artists, musicians, seniors, and the people of Central Kalimantan. The band mentioned that the incident serves as an evaluation material to ensure that attitudes and behaviors in future musical activities are given more attention. The apology was delivered after the incident gained attention on social media.
Meanwhile, the reporting process initiated by Natasya and her legal team remains part of the police investigation into the alleged case. The victim's side hopes the case will be handled according to legal provisions and draw attention to the safety and comfort of musicians performing in public spaces.
